In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital marketing, turning around a struggling campaign to achieve not just profitability but extraordinary performance is a testament to strategic acumen and industry-leading expertise. This case study examines the incredible turnaround of a digital ad campaign that resulted in a colossal 227.1% click-through rate (CTR) increase.

The Client

The client is Host Havoc, a company specializing in hosting gaming services. A forward-thinking company in a competitive market, aimed to revolutionize its online advertising strategy and achieve a notable return on ad spend (ROAS). Despite having tremendous potential, their previous efforts were hampered by negative ROAS and inefficient cost management.

The Challenge

Entering the quarter with a disappointing ROAS of 0.3, a prohibitively high cost per conversion of $110.17, and a concerning CTR, the pressure was high. The client required a swift and drastic improvement, imposing a cost per acquisition (CPA) cap of $27—far below the current average.

Approach

We began our intervention with bold measures, discarding the client’s underperforming campaigns and reinventing their advertising strategy from the ground up. Five new campaigns were meticulously designed within the first week, focusing on precision targeting, refined keyword selection, strategic demographic consideration, and country-specific tailoring. It was an approach born from a balanced blend of analytical prowess and creative ingenuity.

Outcome

The outcomes were swift and remarkable. By fostering a climate of digital innovation and meticulously aligning with client objectives, we observed a spectacular uplift in performance metrics:

  • CTR grew from a modest 1.77% to an astonishing 5.3%
  • The conversion rate more than doubled, rising from 2.45% to 7.09%
  • Total conversions increased tenfold, jumping from 89 to 952 within three months
  • ROAS surged from 0.307 to a robust 1.702
  • Cost per conversion was dramatically reduced from $110.17 to $19.18
